In the back of the book, there’s a page promising a free calorie budget and yoga routine. If that’s what you’ve come looking for, you are in the right place.budget

All the time I get asked how I keep the weight off. What am I eating.  Short answer, eat less move more.  My body needs only so many calories to function each day. If I overspend those calories, I will inflate, just like the debt on my credit cards. If I underspend, I can chip away at the years of fat deposits. I had to learn what my body needed each day and then learn to make choices on how I wanted to spend those calories.  So if its the end of the day, and I really want that 300 calorie slice of cake, but I only have 100 calories left in the budget… I have a choice to make. Eat a third of the cake, or eat it all and go earn “spending calories” by exercising and burning off that additional debt I’ve accrued.

Once you take control of your own life, goals, and learn to finish — anything is possible.

To get your personal daily calorie budget, just input your info into the fields.

  1. Betsy,

I saw you on the today show and was so moved by your interview with Savannah. I read some of your book and felt like you were describing some of the feelings I too feel. I use to run too, for 10 years and yes it was great and kept my weight in check. I have tried to get back to it, but I am older now and find is much more difficult. I know exactly what you meant about the “high” of starting a diet and then the boredom and loss of interest that comes.

I am hoping your story will inspire me and I am curious how you kept yourself going when you got to that boredom part of your weight loss. You should be so proud of yourself, you look great!
